I signup up about 4 hours ago with tera-byte and waiting to hear from them regarding my setup, I did get an auto responce straight away with a ticket number.

I emailed them back about 30 mins ago asking how long it will now take to set me up, they got back to me straight away stating that they have no servers left and are awaiting a new shipment, this well pigged me off as they should state this on signup, I emailed back asking how long this would take, they email me stating they don`t know, a shame really as they seem to be a very good host and offer good packages.

Oh well I better keep looking as I`m running out of bandwidth for this month and need a new host asap.

I may aswell ask while I`m posting.

I need about 100mg space, cgi, ssi, perl and so on, plus a large bandwidth some thing like 10-20 if not more, instant activation and no setup fee, I`ve tryed hostrocket and they couldn`t for some reason host ikonboard very well, and I`m at the moment with hostingmatters.com, they are good but the bandwidth is only 3gb then I have to pay extra per gb.

I`m looking to pay about $10 per month but hey if they`re worth it then more :)

Looking forward to some input on this one.

Well I don't know what Tera-Byte.com's pages say, but 4webspace.com (owned by Tera-Byte) clearly states they are out of Cobalt RaQ3 servers.

You might want to take a look at -

http://www.blasthosting.com
http://www.wizardshosting.com
http://www.wzpro.net
http://www.below10host.com
http://www.superior-host.com

I recommend those, however, take a look at

http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?threadid=3053

for a huge list of webhosting providers.

Hope this helps..

Robert

Thanks for the links, this is an updateon how I`m getting on.

After going through alot of the links given here I thought that I`d give Atomhost a try...now I signed up but it wasn`t instant access which is abit of a bummer...so I waited, about an hour later would you believe it Tera-byte emailed me my activation details...lol

So now I`m wondering what the hell to do as I don`t want to hosts and both taking money straight away, so I uploaded to tera-byte and tryed them out...I do not like their control panel one bit, any way it showed up that half a meg of bandwidth had already been used, but how?...I emailed them asking this and also asking why they told me via email that they had not servers and were awaiting a new shipment, they sent back with a simple one liner...if you don`t require hosting let us know...WTF is that all about, I re-sent again asking about the bandwidth and got no response. In the mean time I`ve been emailing and emailing and emailing Atomhost asking them to close the hosting down...I¬M STILL WAITING...now getting abit peeeeed off with this and thinking that tera-bytes service is basically CRAP I emailed them to close the hosting down to...and by god they were fast enought to close it, within 10 mins it was close and not sorry or why...just anouther one liner from a Brenda stating the website was now closed.

Sorry to go on like this but I feel that any one thinking of going with either of these companys should REALLY think twice.

So now I`m still on the look out and at this rate I`ll end up going with hostrocket, at least their service is sound.

I`ll post again to let you all know how I get on.

Regards Dean

I've been with Tera-Byte since January, and other than some minor downtime once, they've been very good and come highly recommended around here.

Tera-byte is great... I was with them for about a year before I got a server a 4webspace.com... Now that everything isn't routed through sprintlink their network is much faster than it used to be...

Support is usually very good, though I think one or two support people there are a little clueless...

BTW half a meg of bandwidth is nothing... You probably used that much uploading your site and using the control panel...

Actually, you'll be surprised at the number of webhosting companies that don't own their own servers and rent dedicated servers from companies such as Tera-Byte and Vdi.net. I, myself, was surprised to find out that servus network is hosted by TB. That's the great think about renting/leasing a dedicated server, you can be your own company and no one would ever know that you don't own the server.

It's common knowledge that dim8.net use tera-byte. Take a look at the dns :) it's a sign of being proud to be on their fantastic network :)

Servus, your on a cobalt server right? If so, how do you handle the reselling? If mind telling me. I mean.. do the clients get their own CP to add/remove users at their choice or do they have to contact you to in order to have a domain added? I want to offer a reselling package but I dont want to have three times the work. Know what I mean? Did you purchase a script? Thanks! Oh ya.. nice design.
