I rent a basement suite in a house that has an alarm system

I fell asleep, and the guy upstairs didnt know i was home.

I woke up and stood up and about 2 seconds later 120 decibles of screeching alarm greeted me. needles to say i hit the floor and assumed a battle position (instinct) I was in a great state of confusion.

i couldnt figure out how to turn the damn thing off, and buddy who i rent from didn't have his cell phone with him. (i phoned it and heard something ring across the room)

apparently my code for the alarm wont turn it off.

To make a long story short, the neighbors called the cops and made it sound Like i broke in. I had to take a trip to the police station. for questioning.

(none of the neighbors had ever seen me before, and the landlord couldnt be reached.) what a ----ing weekend. you dont even want to hear the friday night story

In my opinion, your landlord wanted to get rid of you?

Hint: Did you pay your last month? :biggrin2:

The same thing kinda happened to me. I had just moved into the basement with the girl I was renting from, and although she didn't have an alarm, the lock was old and you had to fiddle with it to get it open. Naturally, the neighbours (who are assholes that actually got the previous tennants kicked out cause they own a dog...which is allowed) had never seen me before and reported an attempted break in. Fortunately, the landlady got home before the cops showed up and the whole thing got straightened out. I guess she had been robbed before, which is why the neighbours called the cops.

The guy that lives in the apartment above me discovered that his VCR remote also works on my VCR.

And my next door neighbour got completely hammered, crashed he car on the sidewalk and got caught up in the steering wheel so we called 911. As soon as the police showed up she ran at me, then did a b-line for her house. After I was questioned she began to scream at me, and was then arrested.
From then on she always watches me through her window when I pass.

Gayo, I had no problem with the chick I was renting from. She was fine. Stupid medical problems....

cause we can't actually call you jmiller. or Miller. nobody actually goes by the nicknames they're using. I'm always Blank, or BV, or dumbass.

Dumbass is right, your chosen name has no bearing on your given name. I could call you Arthur. Would you prefer that, Art?

I think Alf is better. as in Alf Garnett. or maybe as in Alphonse Capone. doesn't really matter.

Where did that whole first name thing start? anyway? no one knows mine here, so I always go by gayo because gayowulf is too damn long to type out.
