Yeah, Nirmani accepted checks from me before I got a credit card. You should contact them before, and work out the details, because I am not sure if they still offer the check thing, but the guy who runs it is pretty cool, and he is really helpful. They offer::
100mb, 5gb, 100 Sub Domains, 100 Pop3 Accounts, 5 MySQL Databases, ect ect. for $11/month
