hi.
guys do you know any fast forum?and which is fast?
perl or php?i heard that php is faster than perl?
what are your opinions?and where can i find fast&free board.

http://www.ikonboard.com-Perl. Pretty fast. Free.
http://www.phpbb.com-PHP. A bit slow. Free

If you want a fast PHP board, I would recommend vBulliten (what's used here) but it's pretty expensive.

As for fast perl, I would say that Ikonboard (URL Above) is the fastest

phpBB is actually going to release a version 2.0 is greatly improved in speed. However, I find for php board that is free its fairly fast and extremly easy to install.

You may find an assortments of forums at http://www.hotscripts.com

Like sparkfan12 those are probably the two best free forums. PhpBB and ikonboard.

I had the opportunity to try out the nice VBBs as an admin at a site, too bad its soo damn expensive :\ to purchase a license. But its sweet.

but as i know ikonboard is for only registered users.

Ikonboard is free for all. You might also want to check out resourceindex.com as they list some of the best php and cgi boards.

I think he meant that he wanted a board that allows anonymous posting. In that case, I think IkonBoard allows it, I'm not sure though.

ye you right properly!
i want forum that allows all users(not registered too)
and i will try 2 php boards.
as i read comments(from site of scripts)they say that phbb and tboard is very good and fast.

but what is another question is that cgi is good(fast)but php says faster?maybe its right.

phpBB is pretty fast, and if you set it up so, you can allow anonymous postings...

Ikonboard 2.x doesn't allow anonymous posting but there are hacks to make it possible, I'd be willing to help you out on that if you decide to use Ikonboard.

Ikonboard3 (coming out...soon) will allow anonymous posting, if you aren't in a rush I would wait for that.
