The menu placement is, well not very strategic. I bet 80% of your visitor will not even be able to find it. Put them in the empty blue column at the left is a great start.

you need to set the background colour for the body to white explicitly...
not everyone has their window background set to white (mine's gray for instance).
It's a small adjustment but right now http://www.devilslair.net/links.html for has a white blob where the links go but the rest has a gray background which doesn't look too nice.
It's nothing big though, I usually see a handful of sites every day that miss this, corporate or personal. It only starts to look bad when their graphics have white backgrounds :).

I would mebbe like to see the main column centered, framed by the blue. Right now, it feels unbalanced, to me. I see that you've put the main menu off to the left, as suggested, but now you have too much unused space below that. Is it too passe' to include the main menu spanning the page, just below the header ("Complete Sports Coverage..."), exactly the same size as the menu bar at the bottom of the page?

It's a nice, clean site, not cluttered at all.

I liked that thing at the very botrtom of the index page...Didn't go further. Why not use an animated flaming torch in the header?:D

The Links page looks ugly, you shouldn't center the location. Fix that broken image, center the layout. And it looks funny having blue on the left and suddenly white on the right. And the main page looks untidy too, maybe you may want to tidy it up abit? I give it a 65%
