I constantly receive pop-up alerts from my norton antivirus auto-protect which say, "the following file has been infected by W32.Nimda". When I go through my directory to search for these infected files, I discover that the files do not even exist! Furthermore, when I do a full system scan RIGHT after receiving all these red pop-up warnings about the "W32.Nimda" virus, nothing appears! It's as if nothing had ever happened! Although there have been no visual effects of the virus on my computer, I'm beginning to get worried that these reoccuring pop-up alerts on the SAME "W32.Nimda" virus might be something serious. Could someone in FWS explain to me what might be happening?
