I registered my domain at namezero about 1-2 weeks ago, and it's already registered! It didn't take 6-8 weeks!

Beware, though, if you register ace0.com, they'll most likely register the ace0.net and ace0.org for themselves.
I still say free domains aren't worth what they're worth - nothing.

how would they make money with that-it's not like my site is going to be very popular (I don't think)

I mentioned this before in another thread. They have the option of auctioning the domain if it's a good one. They can make a bunch of money simply by auctioning domains.

I know-probably my thread-but do they actually make more money than buying them? I find it hard to believe that, because everyone could go around selling domains...I guess they do, but my point is...well I'm not sure what my point is now...

NameZero plays hardball. They grab the .net and the .org to stop you from abandoning your NameZero .com and grabbing the variant for yourself. If you want that name you have to pay NameZero for it, or get a less desirable .ca, .uk etc...

I'm glad I registered the .net version of mine before they started doing that. :)

*lol* I think I was more greedy back then... if I remembered correctly, I tried to register all 3 versions of my domain (yes I'm breaking their TOS - but who gives a damn?!), so I guess I can get them back when I have money and if they don't shut down or decide to keep my domain. :p

Okay, I was wrong. I did try to register all three domain extensions, but only the .com was registered for me, NZ took the .net and .org domains. :( Screw them!!
