I have just received a Christmas card from my local member of parliament. He has obviously had them specially made as there is a nice family pic of him and his family on the front, with this verse:
Across this land in summer sun
In backyards small and great
We'll raise our voice
In one accord
With 'Merry Christmas Mate!'
Inside the card (which had no advertising on it at all) was a fridge magnet calender. And he had hand written his signature.
Well I thought it was nice :p

Nice...
I'm glad my MP isn't the guy in Quebec who sent his Christmas cards with a picture of him and Yasser Arafat on the cover.

Knowing our province's Premier, I wouldn't be surprised if he sent all of us Albertans a case of Big Rock this Christmas. That's how you get re-elected.

Always seems to be a target of 'This Hour has 22 Minutes' and 'Royal Canadian Air Farce'

More so than usual because of the whole Kyoto thing. I'm still waiting for my beer.

You know Jan, he only did it because he wants your vote.
When election time comes around, what are people gonna do? "Hm, who was the guy that wished me a merry christmas out of the kindness of his own heart? Ah yes, him... he gets my vote!".
:p
Was the fride magnet one of those usual ones with a picture of him, and his phone number, or something similar?
