Well, since you can tolerate popup ads, you could go with http://www.hostultra.com/ , or you can just forget it, because they're the "best" you can get.

Umm, I think Hostultra bans IP addresses, so even if you put a US address, it still wouldn't let you sign up. Even if you did get through the IP blocking (somehow) Hostultra will just delete your account for putting fake info.

argh.. why does a free hosting thingy needs your adress anyway

Without giving away too much information on how our system work...
You cannot enter a US address if you dont live in the US
The server has a way of knowing if you lie and will deny your account
Even if somehow you manage to bypass our check, or the server was unable to determine your location, our manual review will catch it

We do this to minimise abuse
Since we introduced this new checking methods our abuse level has been almost none, leaving our time free to improve the service, rather then hunting down abusers

Im sorry if its an inconveniece to you

hmm.. this is quite smart.. and i am glad someone explained it to me.. i must say.. this system could bring back good freehosting if more free hosting providers would use it..

can you tell me when you guys are going to support the netherlands?.. i wanted to sign up now because of your mysql offer.. i want a host with mysql and php.. and they are very rare these days

Hostultra, WHY to remove accounts from people outside US? Cuz I´m spanish, I Talk english, and I dont want to abuse, i just want to upload my site! Cuz Hostultra is the 1st host that i found that cover my needs! My site goes down twice a day (sometimes, twice an hour) on Host.sk! And ALL my files are on ANOTHER SERVER! (xoom.it and hpg.com.br)

hostultra, i got a suggestion..why not u host ppl that request from here , since u provide a free host .its cause u wan to help ppl that can't afford a paid host, right..im sure u r a good man to do that . not everyone out of US or asian going to wavez or abuse..cause u know what..not everywhere also can get cheap pricing host such US..some country u need to paid lot to get a paiying host.

just like my country..host r very expensive..its will cost me up over around rm400 > same with USD400 if u buying something in malaysia..or u buying something at US with USD400 !

well..its just a suggestion and also my feeling. cause i can't afford a paid host . so i keep looking for a free host..but that's not meant i'm abuse or wavez free host..cause some host like web1000.com going down after lot ppl signup. and its become slow, lousy..its used to be a great host...ftp, 50mb..

thankz for reading my thread ! :)

velton, they have a policy, just live with it okay? Maybe you don't do warez or illegal stuff, but the next 10 will. Take a look in that Japan host thread, someone uploaded a 500+MB file and seemed proud of it.

There are plenty more you can try..why not the Japanese host?

All hosts have their rules and limitations, if they want to continue to offer free, they have to have some guidelines.

I believe so... I don't think a "Hoster" can make exceptions for those who are not going to abuse it. If we just allow requests from these forums to be hosted by HostUltra... then there will be a ton of requests. Each one promising not to abuse it. It would be pretty hard to deny a request without giving a reason to anyone who requests an account. You can really make exceptions, just wait until your country is opened up for sign ups. :wink2:
