Hi, I'd like to take some time to ask for a big favor from you guys. I've been hosting with 1UHOST.COM and have been totally displeased with their service. They are sooo sorry. I mean their plans are GREAT, but their service??????? Very bad. I mean it's like good for a week, and BOOM all of a sudden they suck.

I need the following:

MySQL dB (like at least 3 Databases)
PERL
PHP 4.3.2
Full CGI-BIN Access
Unlimited "Sub-Domains"
100+ Email accounts would be nice but not a must!
Of course "Nice" bandwidth" would be nice like Redundant lines. T3's, OC3's...multiple T1's.......something decent. Able to support 50+ Members simultaneously.

Web space - Like 500MB-1GB
Bandwidth - At least 15GB. Prefer "Unlimited" (monthly)
FTP - Unlimited

---------------------------

Just look at www.1uhost.com 's plans and tell me if you guys know of any similar. I need something very similar to it. (Look at their $6.99/monthly plan) I'd like to keep it around 150 at most a year. That's about 12.50 a month. So please help me find a good host :)

Thanks in advance,

SLicK

P.S. Oh and if I can host multiple domains, even BETTER! Maybe 2? Oh and I already have 2 domains, so I just need hosting.......

Personally, I think you are asking too much for too little. If you go with another cheap host, you will find yet again the problem you are having with your current host.

Well not really! Actually I might be asking a lot, but hey, LOL it never hurts to find a better host? I mean there are good ones out there, we just have to know where?

Like this one for an example (RCTHost.com) is not bad. I checked out their deal, and I'm thinking about it. But I'm not going to dive again-I'll keep my options open. So if anyone can help me, I'd really appreciate it. Tops I'd go is 15 bucks a month.

Here's a good deal I found though:

Slick, I think that the hosts would be interested in what type of site you are planning on having with that amount of space and bandwidth you require. Perhaps you can fill them in? :classic2:

I wouldn't use that a criteria for picking a host.

Actually I might be asking a lot, but hey, LOL it never hurts to find a better host? I mean there are good ones out there, we just have to know where?Depends on what you consider a 'good' host... cheap doesn't equal good in my opinion. I'd make a list of 'wants' first and pick a maximum price in your head. Then 'shop' around for what you want and make a list of ones that don't exceed the maximum price. Find out some information about each host on your list and only then look at the price.
It helps a lot if what you want is only slightly higher then what you actually need as well. There's no point in picking a questionable host that offers you 20Gb over a reputable one that offers you 5Gb if all you'll use is 3Gb/month on the sole basis of: "I might just possibly need it at one time or another"

Well, it'll be educational purpose, and I have a Forum, which gets a lot of hits. Last month, "Launch" month I had 8GB. I have music section which takes up bandwidth. I do a lot of stuff. The list just goes on.

Will anyone help me with some choices here? I mean AT least give me some HELP. Forget the price.....actually keep that in mind :) But lookout for a good deal, and a reliable host. Okay, I'm increasing my limit to 20 per month. It has to be monthly, because I can't pay 240 dollars all at once.

Thanks,
SLicK

Anybody? Okay, what if I limit by webspace to around 200MB? Thing is I really need the bandwidth. I can mirror the other things if I must :)

Have a look in the webhosting offers forum for some possibilities. I just read this one (http://www.freewebspace.net/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=38600), I don't know much about them, but I know people have recommended them in the past.

I doubt your $7 can cover the cost of unlimited disk space! You can't even get a 60GB Hard Disk for only $7!
