He paid for something and they messed up his bill. He posted a polite message asking them to look into it. What's the problem with that?

If something is wrong with an invoice (especially if it's a monthly recurring one) then it's best to get that fixed, no matter how much or how little you're talking about. And some people just want to do it for the principle alone.

I think your post there was totally uncalled for, sorry.

I'd have to agree with CareBear on this one.
Even though 70 cents isn't much to pay, the fact that the user only agree to pay $10, the company should be fixing their mistake.

Even though its just 70 cents, he still has the right to notify the owners.

I think he was very polite about the whole thing. He even said "please" :D

I've seen some people who would have put something like: "what a sorry *bleep* *bleep* *bleep* for a business is this. You *bleep* *bleep* dare overcharge me with *bleep* *bleep* *bleep* 70 cents?? I demand a year of free hosting because you messed up or I'll *bleep* *bleep* *bleep* *bleep* make sure the whole world knows your *bleep* *bleep*"

Ok so I was just feeling silly right now but you get the idea :) I've seen people go crazy about less then that and then a: "hey, it's only 70 cents. Don't get so worked up about it" would be in place.

PS: don't bother trying to fill in the *bleeps* cause I just pasted a random amount of them each time :D

I don't have anything against you, puzo, but I find your attitude quite... OOXX.

 And who is always looking for the cheapest host (or free) for warez?

An account mistake of .70 is still a mistake.....accountants shouldn't make mistakes but they do. Mike, how would you be if they overcharged you, by $0.70, $7.00, $70.00.....laugh it off?

But I think in the example given in that thread it was a USD/Euro error, the exchange rates change daily. 10.5 Euro may have been an estimation at the time.

you're right, i always look for a cheap host (for what you stated above :) ) but i would never say anything if they overcharged me with 70 cents, especialy if its a one time payment, if it was more than 70 cents ($7 or $70 like you said) that would be unfair.

Teh amount of money is completely irrelevant in this; it's simply the principle of the matter. If you get charged more than you're supposed to--whether it be 70&cent or $70--they should be expected to take care of the matter.
