Does anybody know of a Free webspace provider that has no banners/ads and has features such as CGI, PHP, and most importantly "MySQL"

f2s.com is the only known FWP around with those features. Theres also datablocks.net, but with ads

It sucks that they are the only two. There should be more. Even with ads.

http://www.spites.com - 15 megs with MySQL
http://www.spaceports.com - 10 megs/1000 file limit with MySQL

No, not exactly, the services they provide look pretty good and from the opinion of some others, it ain't that bad. All they hv is a banner @ the bottom of the page, so it shouldn't b that frustrating.

Thing is their sign up wasn't up earlier on, altho its past the 1st already, maybe just puttin gfinishing touches to the new server change.

If I remembered correctly, I believe that clawz.com is run off cable?

Clawz.com's FTP is slow, and I don't think they have MySQL.

Has anyone ever had a site there? I signed up about 2 months ago and never got a response. Also from reading their message boards it doesn't seem very promising they'll ever respond.

Because I may be wrong, I don't want to sound too sure. :p You can notice how I frequently use the words "I think..." , "If I remember correctly..." , "I believe" , "...I dunno." :D

Yeah clawz.com probably always will be run off cable cause the guy there is trying to raise enough money to get the "professional cable" package.
