Man....I really hate it when this happens. Why doesn't people tell us about http://www.pagespin.net before? Just when I thought that there is a better host than f2.com (because of MySQL feature and bigger storage space, I then found out that the server is full and does not accept anymore applications. If only this great host was posted earlier and more often here than the SLOWWWWWWW f2s.com.

Seriously thinking about signing up at Rockethost.com, not paid hosting, ahhh.

F2S is becoming faster.

Pagespin is run by a bunch of college students (so they claim) and they're even asking people to donate money to move their servers or whatever... read about it here: http://www.pagespin.net/pagespin/why.html

In my haste, I did not even notice this at pagespin.net:

At present, our service will only operate during the time period between September and May.

Glad you guys point this out. This is ridiculous. I am not going to be hosted at a place where I can only see my website only from Sept.-May. I rather be hosted by f2s.com :-)

Hope the upgrade/changes will make my phpBB board faster at f2s.com or I am going to cough up some monney to be hosted at wzpro.com :-)

I was hosted at Pagespin and they closed down their hosting server because a thunderstorm ruined their equipment. I haven no idea why the site is still up though. Perhaps it's on another server. But believe me, no one is hosted there, the server is shut down.

I just signed at social reject. I'll give her a bash and see what happens.

This is what ya get:
Up to 50mb web space for your personal Site.
Domain Support for YourDomain.com.
Your own CGI-BIN directory for scripts and guest books.
Full 128bit SSL support and compatibility, with our own resident CA server.
Full access to your own web logs in raw format, allowing you to see who is hitting your site.
FTP uploads for your site.
Personalized support, with dedicated Networking Enthusiasts (some of whom are professionals.)
Daily backups of your data. See the Service FAQ for details.

Looks ok.
There nameserver is NS1.WORLDWIDEDNS.NET
I'm guessing its a dedicated there?

Some things in the FAQ are a bit funny:
"Q. Can your users be guaranteed uptime?
A. Yes. We guarantee a minimum 2.9999% uptime. Or your money back."

This is nice though:
"Q. I need lots of space. Can I get more than 50mb?
A. Space we have. Bandwidth is more restricted. The primary reason we don't offer huge accounts is that we don't want to turn into a warez repository. If you have a legitimate need for the space, we will gladly expand your limits to accommodate."

So, I hope its good!

Jonny
