I am making my website for the world to see my graphics creations. (And so I can link to images that are too big to be uploaded onto forums manually).

Tell me what you think. I am trying to avoid conventional website creation. If I can get a decent looking page with my methods, I would like to do it.

Nice layout, colours and i like your sketches.

Do you have to have both the small banner and the popup when on fortune city? Get rid of the banner if you can.

Some of your pages are short and it gives the small fortune city too much prominance. Either get rid of it or make your pages longer so that the banner is down the bottom of the page and not in the middle.

Okay, just a few quick suggestions...

1) I know somebody has already said it, but the Fortune City banners are really bad. You should try getting hosted off somebody's domain, or finding a host that has smaller (or no) ads.

2) You should get a guestbook from http://www.signmyguestbook.com . The only ads are a few small text links at the bottom, so no pop-ups or anything. Plus, your Bravenet guestbook was down when I visited! :)

I loved your "Baby Ryan" sketch. :classic2:

Thanks. I am looking for a better host. FOrtunecity also, I have discovered, wont let me upload video either. Part of the purpose of this site is to post movies... This sucks. Does anything know of a good place to go for one?

I can't help you with the suggestions for a free web host, but I'd suggest that on your "Sketches" page, you either use some sort of thumbnailing script (probably not possible on Fortune City) or upload smaller thumbnail images, and rewrite the html to display the smaller images on the index page.
As it is now, the visitor is downloading the full image file, but viewing it an a very small frame. This slows down the page loading drastically.
Also, your "CG WORKS" link brings a 404 error.

too many lawsuits to deal with....no free web provider will let you upload any type of video or music file because of copyright laws

p.s.....i really don't like the shade of blue you chose :confused2
p.s.s....what's a sophomore??

Law Suits? That really bites into the CG community. We make our own freakin video files! That really bites...

is ur CG link gone?

if u want cheap hosting, u can go to www.register4less.com

u get ur own domain name, but only 5 megs, for only 15 dollars a year. i think that's pretty cheap considering it's for the whole year plus ur own domain name.

:)

Hope you improve your site more.

I have a strange feeling of it. Though I can't tell what it is.
