Anyone? I've forgotten what I used 4~5 years ago... and I remember it was real nice and simple too.
I don't want GIF Construction Set, it's too large. >_<

I use Ulead GIF animator to stick them togeather but not to do the graphics. It's fairly flexible not sure how big though?
It's got a nice optimiser too

Naw, I don't care about making GIF graphics, I can do that in Photoshop. I just need a simple (and real nice) piece of software that can string all my pics together and make an animated image.
Speaking of Photoshop... PHOTOSHOP 6 SUCKS! And friggin slow too! I'm back to using the good ol' Photoshop 4.. :)

I found my old software - it's called "GifBuilder", and it's only for Macs too. :( Too bad, it was a real nice proggy too.

Animation Shop(Comes with PS I believe). And what's wrong with PS ? Sure it's slow at loading if you have hundreds of plugins(like me), but it can do anything.

I have adapted to the simplicity of Photoshop 4. One major thing I couldn't find in PS6 - the line tool.

Ah... and I still use it :). Unfortunately the development of that program has since stopped. Still good though.

It loads instantly for me, but then again I don't have many extra plugins. I also agree with the two others here in saying that Animation Shop is a very good Animation tool.

I haven't a single plugin for Photoshop 6... takes forever to load. Half the time I thought it has crashed... *lol*

BTW, does animation shop come with Photoshop 4? Or only 5 and/or 6? Or do you have to download a plugin?

6 and 7. I think with 5 too but not with 4. It's included but if I remember right you can download it separately. It can be ran as stand alone. The line tool is still there if you mean the "click two points make a straight line between them thing" :)

There's Photoshop 7 already?! Wow!! I don't even see them selling it at adobe.com yet...
I couldn't find the line tool in PS6. Where is it? I know I didn't see it in the toolbar.

Animation Shop came first with PAINTshop Pro in version 6 (have it sitting collecting dust right in front of me actually)
Photoshop doesn't have an animator.
Agreed about photoshop 6. Haven't used it but all reports I've had say people aren't overly impressed with the bloatware stance Adobe is taking these days. I use photoshop 5 and will happily stick with that. Anything past that and you're looking at rubbish you can get elsewhere smaller, and for free.
