Only 20 members a day.

http://freepchost.com/freedomain/
So much for their "free domains"... you pay all the bills. I think they only host your domain for free. I dunno wether you have to register the domain thru them or not.

http://asp-world.co.uk (ASP)
Their basic hosting features suck.

http://www.affari.to/en/ (PHP)
15MB webspace and 100MB bandwidth limit?... sounds like a Portland reseller.

http://www.grandcity.net/hosting/ (PHP)
They died a looooong time ago.

http://www.uklinux.net/ (PHP)
To sign up, you have to click on the "Sign Up" link located at the left in the menu. The signup link at the main page simply links to http://signup.uklinux.net/ instead of http://signup.uklinux.net/signup/

You have to register a domain thru their services to get their free hosting package. If want to transfer your domain, you gotta pay $25 a year.

From what I see, you don't get CGI. They do have these script templates though. Oh, and for a snapshot of what I saw: http://www.dto.f2s.com/Duhh/freewebz.jpg

http://www.hatchway.com/
The hundred megs sounds good. So does that "unlimited traffic". In return, you get a nice ad or popup and no CGI.

http://www.peyros.com/
I wasn't able to connect to their servers.

http://www.2w1.net/
For some reason, it looks like a Excelland reseller. Correct me if I'm wrong.

http://www.2itb.com/
They say that the File Manager is for experts. Uhh...
They also have an online disk thingy - 50MB.

http://www.hostitfree.com/services.htm
Looks like web services for beginners.. They put footers on your pages. That's one good thing.
Actually, I didn't quite understand what they're offering. There's all these "$" signs. Oh, and here's something interesting from their page:
500mb free data transfer per month and only $.10/mb over 1mb ( w/ sub 5mb site )

1gb free data transfer per month and only $.05/mb over 1gb ( w/ over 5mb site )
So with sites under 5MB you get 500MB bandwidth, and over 5MB you get 1GB.

aren't dingojunction and asp-world one and the same provider? Both have almost the same design and both allow only 20 signups per day.

You're right. Everything about them are the same, except for the domain name.

UkLinux isn't free for people outside the UK. This is part of the email I got when I signed up:

We welcome overseas users, but as you are not able to dial in to our modems, we will not get any revenue from you to pay for the services so we have to make a small charge.

The standard membership charge is 25.00 GBP per year, that entitles you to the same facilities as users who dial in to our modems for a minimum of 1 hour per month.
