If Host stop signup, existent account will be keeped or closed?

Is there anyone has the experience as the following:
You ever signed up a host account, after
the host supplier stop users apply for.
(just stop signup, not close website)
Will host supplier keep your existent account
or close it too?

Really couldn't say because that depends on the
individual host.

Some hosts run into money or legal problems and shutdown
entirely just leaving users dead in the water.

Others shutdown new signups but leave all hosting accounts
online for various reasons ... we do that as well.

Where I'm at with AMZ Web Hosting, we actually shutdown
new signups all the time to catch up on any backlogged work or
maintenance and scare off forum spammers and leeches into
thinking that they think we are closing down when we actually
aren't. We're actually in no danger of shutting down and
our member's web sites are never effected by any signup
shutdown.
