Isn't it crazy? 3~4 years ago, the guy who owned it was selling it up to the hundred-thousands. Today, the domain *still* isn't properly used, some CES company now has control over it and is still trying to auction it.

The my.com domain has become something like a valuable trading card - a lot of people are willing to pay ridiculously high prices for it, and even more willing to auction it at higher prices. I still haven't seen the domain used for an actual site...

Same with the sailormoon.com domain. It was on sale for an outrageously high price as well, and it kept changing owners. At least the current owner isn't re-selling the domain - for now...

BTW, I have absolutely no interest in sailormoon... hadda clear that up.

God dammit people! It's just an internet address. Content is what people want, not a dumb short domain!!!

What I mean is that most visitors don't care if the address is my.com, or a bit longer domain. If they spend so much money on buying the domain, they better have some money to actually make a good site.

Exactly my point.
