As the subject. When I type in "ipconfig" in my dos command window, it says,
" 'ipconfig' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file."
I have cable internet, there is only 1 ip.

What version of Windows are you using? If you're using NT+, cd winnt, cd system32 ipconfig <-- try that. That's where ipconfig.exe is. Dunno where it is on other versions, but just do a search for ipconfig then cd to the directory and type ipconfig, it should work :classic2:

The Start > Run is basically a VGUI interface of the command prompt.
