I have Outlook Express 6 and I can not get my E-mail messages from my MSN E-mail account off of it. And I have MSN 8 to connect to the Internet. Before, I used to have MSN 6, I think, and I was able to get my MSN E-mail fine when I had that instead. I've, like, checked my account settings in Outlook Express more than a couple times. It seems to be correct. When receiving E-mail messages, I would get no errors. Though, however, it would not receive, but I do know I have messages in the account. And sending E-mail was successful.

Though... the problem has kind of changed around this week. The settings are the same, but suddenly the problem is different this time. When receiving E-mail messages I get this error now:

Unable to logon to the server using Secure Password Authentication. Account: 'whatever@msn.com', Server: 'pop3.email.msn.com', Protocol: POP3, Server Response: '-ERR Permission denied', Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC18

And, I can't send E-mail now. I get this error:

The message could not be sent because the server rejected the sender's e-mail address. The sender's e-mail address was 'whatever@msn.com'. Subject 'test', Account: 'whatever@msn.com', Server: 'smtp.email.msn.com', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '530 5.7.3 Due to a recent security enhancement, changes to your email client configuration are required. Please go to http://supportservices.msn.com/us/smtptool/default.asp for complete information about the steps to make these quick changes. You will be unable to send email from your MSN account until those changes are made.', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 530, Error Number: 0x800CCC78

So, now it's a bit worse than before.

Note, anybody who even has an MSN E-mail account, Outlook Express 6, and MSN 8 will probably help me out the best here, otherwise, you might not get anywhere with me on solvin' this problem.

You best bet would be to contact your ISP support for the configuration. :)
