1. Would you rather get a 21 inch or 19 inch CRT monitor or a 17 inch LCD? Say for the same price.

2. Is Viewmaster a good brand of monitor?

3. Do LCDs have dpi resolution differences?

4. And one quesiton on CD-writer... how's Sony 52x24x52? It is not that much more expensive that Lite-On..

I thought it was 2 questions .. lol

1. Definately 17" LCD (it's what I use)

2. Never heard of them.

3. I don't think so.

4. I'm guessing Sony is a reliable brand.

Hope this helps!

Sony optical drives aren't that great. I definitely wouldn't pay more for one than a Lite-on. Hell, I wouldn't even buy one at all.

If you have the money for a 17" flat panel, go for it. They're still around $500+, and there's absolutely no reason to pay that much for a 19" CRT.

The 19" CRT is more cost-effective and has a much higher max resolution and refresh rates.

my boyfriend has a 21" monitor and although it is DAMN bulky, its great for games and fantastic for DVD's...if you're not gonna play games or watch movies on it, there's no need to go that big

I have a 18" Flat Panel Monitor (LCD) with a 128mb ddr video card and it's fantastic! All my monitors in my home are now flat panel, no more builky monitors!

I'd go for a 19" Flat CRT.

I love mine. Never again will have a ugly curvy monitor.

And it didn't break my piggy bank like a LCD would have.

$389 for my 18" Flat Panel and $360 for my 17". Not expensive at all.

It's a Microtek. Bought it at .. Wal-Mart.. yeep. Anyhow, the quesiton is, is my 18" LCD good for gaming and Movies? I play America Army on it and it's fantastic, I do tho have a 128mb DDR Video. Also watching movies, it's so nice. But I dont watch many DVDS off my system, it has a TV-Out plug.

Microtek flat panels aren't worth it. They're only analog?! WTF!!? Real flat panels use DVI.
