windows for idiots

you know what i mean, windows makes everything idiot proof with "my documents" and "my music" and "my stupid crap"

when i click on "my computer" in XP it brings up "files stored on this computer" and "scanners and cameras" :confused2

i HATE this!!! is there a way i can get rid of em so they don't show up when i click "my computer"??

You can disable them to not show in groups.

It's a registry key you need to delete. I'd suggest renaming it instead though, put a _ in front of it or something. If you mess something up at least you can change everything back to the way it was by removing the _ character.
