Please carefully read the individual forum descriptions and post your new thread in the most appropriate one.

I think in the last few weeks I have moved a record amount of threads that were posted in the wrong forums. Sometimes I don't leave a post moved indicator because so many from the same wrong forum have been moved already.

There are a couple of newish members who continually post in the wrong forums, so if they don't take the time to either read this, or the forum description, then they will be tossed into the trash bin next time they post in the wrong place.

Thanks in anticipation

Will the post be counted even if you move the thread to this general forum?

I know. But spamming is not good. That's why i worry about that.

I guess it would still count. Can't say I have never taken any notice. Although if a first ever post elsewhere gets moved to here, they still have a post count, so I guess it does. Also if a new member posts in here and it gets moved, they still have 0 posts.

Another little beef I have is if members see something posted in the wrong forum, why not send a report to say "wrong forum" instead of posting it in the thread? The thread starter can't move it and cross posting isn't allowed, so it is pointless. Also "wrong forum" looks very out of place when it is moved. :confused2 Maybe we should just delete that post after we move it? :devious2:

I think you posted this in the wrong forum Jan. It should be in our non existent complaint forum.

I have always been quite peeved with the "Move Thread" indicator that is left behind. It gives the user double-exposure for their request, without needing to double post. I think that it is unfair to users who do read the rules. My policy at the Aimoo Help Forums is to delete any posts in the wrong forum...

If you don't use the indicator, you might get threads like this
