I run my own hosting system for a few people that seem to have large amounts of people in their sites from time to time..

Would anyone know of a good way to take advantage of this and get paid for what I am doing without popups on everyones site, have forcing banner ads in there pages?

That found404 ad service would of been great, but the problem is, it just went down...

Even just the smallest amount of money, or something I could try would be worth a shot..

I have only tried some way of making money online once before, and I got paid $5, too bad I can't remember how I did it, other then it involved e-mail addresses or something...

Thanks for all your help.

You will not find many reputable ad companies willing to let you have ads on your hosted sites because of the lack of content control. Maybe if you can convince them that you check all sites on a daily basis, they may consider it. It might pay you to personally approach some of the many ad companies mentioned within this forum.

Iauruth,

A number of free hosts and folks with parked domains use our programs.

We can set you up with a pre made page that incorporates searches, text links, buttons and (if you want) pop windows that you can use as a 404 page.

Could you explain this a little more, I am not sure I understand exactly.

Do you have a website or examples I could see?

What is the rate per click, or how ever you do it?

They pay our standard rates per click or per impression just as if you had joined all the programs. $.06 to $0.20 per click thru and $2.00 CPM to $3.00 CPM for pop windows.

Our affiliate programs are listed here: http://standardinternet.com/affiliate.html

There are also other options out there, if you're not an American or want to investigate some alternatives.

Domain Traffic:
Domain Park (http://www.appliedsemantics.com/products/dnr_domainpark.html)
Domain Sponsor (http://www.domainsponsor.com/)

404 Traffic:
You can use programs like Oversee's TargetWords.com which comes with template websites to use. Or other search providers like ClickThruTraffic/TextLinks and SearchFeed to make your own 404 page. Although it's always an idea to checkwith the company first to see if they'll accept your traffic.

Good luck,

Well, me being a Canadian really scraps that idea, and also the fact that there is such a small number of people in the state they live in, it probibly wont sell very much to peoples intrests.

Hum.. A 404 ad company would be great if possible. People get 404s all the time, I set up an counter for my 404 page, (not visable) but the thing seems to be bringing in more traffic then everyone's sites combined! (I might be over exadurating(spelling**that's what you get when your tired, and too lazy to spell correctly for people that know what I mean!) at this moment, it's hard to tell sometimes.)

Er.. Well, I am off to bed now, I will check some stuff out.

This is incorrect information.

SI accepts webmasters from Canada and accepts webmasters from all nations on a case by case basis.

I don't mind popups if they come up on, let's say, every 5 new pages loaded.

I just really hate popups that stay up, and can't get them closed without CTRL+ALT+DEL or something.

And I would deffinatly not mind mass pop ups and pop behinds for 404 pages.

Where's the sign up?

Go to www.standardinternet.com and choose a program, when you find one that suits you, go to that site, read the TOS and hit the signup link :confused2

Mail them at admin (admin@standardinternet.com)
