View Full Version : Help, I want it all, and i want it now..

I want a new webhost, i am with http://www.f2s.com, but their website is down 90% and very slow, i need onto their website to find out about cgi scripts, but now i can really be bothered waiting cause i want a lot of other things aswell.

For my site i need, about 20 megs, no file size limit (well, 5mb max is acceptable), allows me to hold mp3's (my own, its my bands website). I need ftp and no ads, pop-ups are ok but preferably none, cause my design is based on flash.

Am i looking for something i have to pay for?, should i use another server for mp3 storage and hold my website on f2s.com?, is there a better alternative to f2s.com, cause i cant beat it yet for a free server?

Go with a paid host.... You get what you want with a fast server and no ads

Try dim8.net as one of their packages are 50 megs for 10$ a month

say i hold the mp3s (my own) at geocities and link to them, all i need is FREE, 20mbs, good availability on server, ftp and prefarably no banners, whats the best for that?

(my site will be 95% flash)

digitalrice seems pretty fast (faster then f2s) and has 25megs. For the mp3s you could use nbci, but it's down a lot these days, try tripod they have 50megs.

F2S was up for all the times I tried to access it, and pretty fast too. Hmm.....

yeah, its fast and stable for me too but I guess id depends on which server your site is hosted there ....

Flash, mp3's... hmm, like Cowax said, I think you should go better with a paid host. Try <<I SPAM FORUMS.COM>>. They offer 45 MB for $7.95, plus 30 d. money-back. I am not sure if f2s will provide you with the space and server speed you need. Plus, my friend said they do not have an extraordinary support neither.
