I want to format my computer, but I have XP and am using NTFS... so I don't know how to format it.
I'm used to going into DOS and formatting, but of course I can't do that now, so what the hell do I do? I thought I could re-format the drive as part of the installation of XP, so I booted up from the CD, but that doesn't seem to be an option.
What can I dooooo? :cry2:

NTFS?
Can't you just do dos and format c:
I got a tutorial about that on my site.
I assume you can't do that, perhaps you could explain what NTFS is?
I had a look at Acronym finder (link (http://www.acronymfinder.com/af-query.asp?String=exact&Acronym=NTFS&Find=Find)) but still have no idea.
<<EDIT>>
I just realised it said in that screenshot I took it says NTFS, I have done it before though.

You need to boot up with a Boot disk, than type "fdisk" and go into the Menu. Goto "Delete Partitions" and select "other Partition" or "NON-Dos". Delete the partitions, re-create them and format. DOne.

Boot up with the Windows XP cd(or bootdisk). It should detect a current installation of Windows XP and ask you if you want to reinstall windows over it or format the disk then clean install.
