I don't know if it will be able to keep the site up. But here is what I got from them:

Dear intelcities member,

I would like to update you on the status of intelcities
regarding the Intel Corporation matter. A few days ago,
I received a call from their legal department. The outcome
of the conversation did not provide a resolution. However,
they have reopened the door SLIGHTLY, in lieu of several
new issues. I was overwhelmed by a few repeated statements,
which I later found to be the prime reason for their
contact and their primary concern.

I have received an enormous amount of sincere and supportive
emails. It was passed on to me during that conversation that
they too were receiving a multitude of emails in support of
intelcities. The conversation also included the impact of
the letter that is posted on our home page.

For you, our dedicated members, we will take every possible
step to resolve our domain issue. Therefore, we have enlisted
a neutral party to mediate during this latest attempt. With
so much attention on the conditions on which Intel
Corporation is attempting to shut us down, I feel a slight
chance of survival. Your emails to Intel Corporation and us
are making a difference. I hope to have some more details
to pass on within a week. I hope you take a moment to voice
your opinion, if you have not already done so! If you have,
thank you. You will find the contact information on our home
page, which was just updated with new information. We have
also added links to the streets and member's area.

You may be aware that we were working on achieving a very
important goal, a vital concept that has become a reality.
Intelcities is now the FIRST and the ONLY fully certified
Child Safe community in the world. This certification now
provides visitors with the assurance of 100% Child Safe!
I will provide what this means to you, as we progress with
a resolve on the present Intel matter.

Best Regards,
City Controller
