Are there any programs that allow you to convert the audio track of an MPEG movie files into an MP3 audio files that could then be burnt onto a disc?

For example, if I had a stand-up comedy routine on my hard drive in MPEG format and wanted to listen to it in the car, could I rip the audio track and burn it to a CD-R?

Peace,
PPk

you would do it with this total recorder (http://download.com.com/3000-2168-10176980.html?tag=lst-0-1)

just do a search on, say, recorders on CNET Downloads (http://download.com.com/2001-20-0.html?tag=hd_ts) and you'll get a choice of heaps

As far as I can see that doesn't write from MPEG to MP3, but DVD to MP3.

I'll try some more searching, but if anyone has done it please reply.

A Google search turned up a prog named SCMPX, which does the job perfect.
