The following is an example.
Yes, it is a default setting & can be changed during setup process.

No matter what statements providers say, that's not the key point.
The KEY POINT of what I mean is:
Don't lost any rules/warning/terms from your host providers,
It will avoid missing & violating their rules.
Otherwise if in case of they think that you violated the rules,
then maybe will make your account deleted.

i.e. maybe receive a message said 'you had "violated their service and
terms"' , or any "hidden-cost fees"...., etc.

So, Be Careful to read all details of terms, warning, or rules before &
during you signup, including the HIDDEN messages in HTML file. ^^

===============
*** for example ***
===============
http://www.web1000.com/

1. ) Free Hosting http://www.web1000.com/default.htm

on default.htm page:
" Welcome to Web1000, the ONLY FREE U.S. English Language
Web Host that has NO ADS AT ALL on certain categories of web sites!
That's right, we run no ads on your web site! This is not a limited time offer!
No Banners, No Pop-ups, No Text Links, NOTHING! "

Open the HTML file by a text editor, & find (at the end, before footer) :
<!-- <tr><td colspan="3">
<font class="bodyCopyBoldRed">WARNING: </font>
<font class="bodyCopyBold">
<i> The default setting for Web1000 sites allows Web1000 to display
advertising with adult-oriented content, containing nudity and explicit language.
Webmasters creating a site that will not contain nudity are given an opportunity to
change this setting during the signup process.</i>
</font></td></tr> -->

2. ) Check sub-domain name http://www.web1000.com/index2.cgi?stage=2

If they are not displayed (yes, actually visible within the browser window) they are void.

ho ho ho ... Don't you understand? ^^;;
The sentences are shown on page, of course you can read it.
(
Besides, this is a common requirement, most host say it too.
"you must be at least 18 years old to sign up" is not equal to the above "Warning: ....", "Note that... "
They require it, that's right.
"18 years old" is just legal age. Shopping websites need to ask you're over legal age too. Driving License too.
)

The focus is not the appointed host, the focus is hidden messages on any host, got it? :)
How do you know what messages are hidden?
