Ugh. Must vent. I don't know if Yupapa has its own message board, but I think that this will tell other webmasters about this web provider.

Hey, Mr. Yupapa guy, why don't you allow .CSS files to be uploaded to your server? I tried to upload my site and it said that .CSS was an invalid file format. Don't you know how many webmasters use style sheets in their coding? Obviously not. I had to delete my account and upload my site somewhere else because I wasn't going to re-write it so it could be hosted on Yupapa.

That is just lame. CSS is really popular. *grumbles* .htaccess and no CSS?!

once again, this isn't the yupapa support forums.

if you want to use cascading style sheets, but .css isn't allowed for some reason, you can use html in place of it

if your .css file reads:


a:link {color:ffffff;text-decoration:none}
a:visited {color:ffffff;text-decoration:none}
a:active {color:eeeeee;text-decoration:underline}
a:hover {color:eeeeee;text-decoration:underline}



just add this in between the <head> and </head> tags instead:


<style type="text/css">
<!--
a:link {color:ffffff;text-decoration:none;font-weight:bold}
a:visited {color:ffffff;text-decoration:none}
a:active {color:ff802f;text-decoration:underline}
a:hover {color:ffffff;text-decoration:underline}

i don't know if i'd use a host that won't even allow .css files. it's a freaking text file for crying out loud.

Actually, the funniest thread is the thread where YUPAPA introduces his host. I seriously think that YUPAPA should meet a psychiatrist (sp?) ;)

Hey I can't upload anything bigger than a .JPG. I get a microsoft default 'DNS message'. I'm hoping you'l will be able to allow .zip uploads. One of which is 10mg. It could be that a lot of people could be using your service.

people aren't necessarily hating him for what he does. Actually, I commend him for trying what he's doing. But it's the way he is presenting himself.

Those unusual qualities are one's i might look for in a friend but not a person running a webserver, with my website on the line.
