We at section5.net are holding a contest for the following:

- 100 Mb space
- 3 GB transfer
- Apache server with PHP ( Not Safemode )
- FTP ( Real FTP not web based )
- MySQL ( 1 database )
- Domain hosting or a subdomain.section4.net
- Unlimited FTP accounts
- Unlimited POP3 accounts
- Unlimited Sub-Domain ( If you have your own domain )
- Stats
- Webmail
- Hotlinking
- FrontPage extensions
- SSI
- CGI
- Perl
- cPanel 6
- No Ads at any time.
- Fast. No uptime garaunteed, but its up almost 98% of the time since it came up.

Rules:

- Site with a cool, origional and good looking design
- Must have content
- Any language you want !!
- No illegal content. Read http://section5.net/legal.htm
- No sites with warez
- Domain that you want hosted has to be unoffensive ( f---.com not allowed )
- It has to be related to something that is legal in the US

Thats all, post your URL to your current site here, and i will get a team of people to vote after 10 days of this contest going on.

Any moderators here, please help me keep porn sites and illegal sites out. And removing posts that are offensive. Also please lock this thread after the winner has been announced.

Winner will be announced after we have looked thru all the sites and the content. Do not get mad if you did not win, keep looking because you will find a host.

dosnt say anything about premade "skins" in the TOS i dont think...

i dont see whats wrong with it, its gonna be modified to fit my liking and i guarantee it wont look like its original.

sure it lacks creativity but its just something to work off of.

Dont worry, we will look at sites, and according to the scoring system, we will take off points for having skins on a phpNuke unless they are yours and we cant find it elsewhere. So dont worry.

No, but it will be scored looking at that sort of stuff. Since its unfair to people who took the time to create images in PhotoShop and took the time to create their own site.

TOS = Terms of Service. This basically tells you what you can and cant do.

I believe "In The End" by Linkin park is copyrighted, so unless you have prior written permission from Linkin Park's lawyers to play the full track on your site, I believe it is illegal...unless I am greatly mistaken.

Current design is a must. Cut it up fast, i am thinking of extending this so more people have a chance to enter.

Read the rules again. It does state you need content, but mainly we look at the design.

Im happy you noticed that the server where the main site is hosted was hacked.

I congrat you.

This server is not under our contral, so i cant do anything about it.

I have to wait till the host resolves the issue.

Our main server is section4.net which has no info on it, but has not been hacked.

Crooker, why should someone have to download anything just to view a website correctly? I sure wouldn't. In my mind, if it isn't viewable by all, then it isn't worth the effort. *Close Browser* :angry2:

i 2nd that jan. i hate goin to sites that require plug-ins. for a typical dialup user like me its a pain in the --- and a waste of time.

what happend to domain? i thought there was domain bought by you. i really wanted adomain. The hosting plan was nice. but i wanted the dam domain which btw would cost less then your hosting peryear but u dont need to pay for the hosting o.O

Uhm, for your info, we were never gonna buy a domain for you, you were to supply your own, or youd get a sub-domain.
