How is it done? It seems to be a bloody complicated process.

I have some divx files I want to make into VCD's, and have no idea how to go about this. My version of Nero seems to claim it can make VCD's of AVI files, but after it taking a few hours and wanting to take a lot more to finish... I stopped it from making one, because it gave me no indication of whether it would work or not, and whether it was going to successfully put it onto two CD's for me.

So, how do I make a VCD of a DIVX file?

Secondly, how do I make a VCD of a DVD? I thought I had some program converting a DVD for me, but after waiting 13 hours, apparently all it did was copy the .vob files to my hard drive, into 6 650mb .vob files.

So how do I make a VCD of that?

Cheers, yo. :cool2:

first of all.. what you're doing is illegal.. and i support your cause :D

get urself Virtual Dub..

re-encode ur divx file to mpeg and save it at a frame rate and resolution made for VCD (not so sure) unless u have the Ultimate X computer.. this will take awhile.. then use the mpeg files for burning VCD's in nero.. i no epidemik made a tutorial about this.. PM him

http://www.dvdrhelp.com/ should get you started :)

http://www.doom9.org/ has a walk through as well (click Guides on the left, then VCD/SVCD under "DVD Backup". It has screenshots and an explanation of what to do and what everything does so that might best suited for you.
