Okay I am working on a blog layout, and basically I want each entry to be in its own little rounded table bubble thing. I know how to do the rounded tables and everything, but I just have one question. If the text is too long, and stretches the table, how do I make it so that the border images adjust or whatever so that there isn't any gaps between them?

Thanks in advance. :)

You mean a table that looks like:

(round) | (horizontal) | (round)
(vertical)| Text here | (vertical)
(round) | (horizonal) | (round)
?

set the (horizontal) & (vertical) images as the table cell's background (<td background="...">) instead of using an <img>. The images should repeat then for the entire width/height of the cell.

Last time I tried this, it didn't work. Should I set the (round) images as background, too?

I do it like this (pic attatched).

You make the top and bottom row a set height and the two sides, or round images, a width and height so its very defined.

The middle section, the two sides should have a width and thats all i do.

Well I seem to have fixed it (with your help, of course)! Can you guys inspect it in your browsers/resolutions and tell me if it's working correctly? http://www.trixabelle.com

Thanks very much for your help. :classic2:

IE5.5 & 1280x1024 but I almost never have my browser windows maximized. I'd guess it's about 900x800.

Because I usually have anywhere from 1-5 IE windows open and some sites just take a while to load and that way I can quickly see when it finished loading. Or I continually switch back and forth between and my mouse is usually just closer to the window I want then it is to the start bar so it's more convenient for me. :)
For the rest I have chat windows open and like right now I can follow the conversation along while I'm typing as well as the progress of other programs that are running. :)

(Edited to add that for some sites/post it just makes things easier to read too. Especially when the text flows from all the way to the left to all the way on the right and people don't use paragraphps :). I do have some maximized, but if I'm just surfing around I usually don't have it maximized. I have a very short attention span :D)

I hardly ever have my windows max'ed, but they might as well be --I just don't like using the maximize button, but the window is about the same size, mabe a few pixels off.
