I'm writing a paper and I would like to get a ballpark figure or resource that would tell me what kind of CPM rates networks like fastclick were offering publishers about 3 years ago compared to the 30 cents CPM I get myself today.

I didn't think Fastclick had been around for that long. :D
About 3 years ago, Mid 2000, was when the banner market had already dropped substantially. I honestly can't remember too much from back then, but I remember I think I was getting about $1.25CPM from AmazingMedia.
That's all I can remember, and that could be wrong. :p

Banners. Tell me a good estimate from around late 1999 or early 2000, I wasn't in the market yet at that time. Or sources online that could tell me would be really good.

Check the old posts in the Ad Revenue forum here. There's some info in there.

I was checking GV and a couple mentioned over $1 just after they started in 2000.
