WordsEpgs April 11th, 2001, 19:58 where can we get a list of words banned on these boards? Peo April 11th, 2001, 20:15 huh...? why would you need that list? Canuckkev April 11th, 2001, 21:37 Are any words banned? Is there even a filter? The "Rules to Post on This Forum" do not mention any "banned" words, or is it a given that you don't want people swearing? LeX April 12th, 2001, 07:28 "f u c k" is the only one I know. Epgs April 12th, 2001, 08:18 yeah i was just wondering because i wouldn't use them then. Peo April 12th, 2001, 10:07 that list won't be publicly available. but yeah, it's the kind of words you don't allow in public moderated forums... Epgs April 12th, 2001, 14:40 ok LeX April 12th, 2001, 22:21 Personally, I believe the whole censor thing is plain dumb. I mean, people will still know what you mean, what you want to say. Besides, there are soooo many ways to bypass the censorship, so there really isn't any point. Epgs April 13th, 2001, 14:25 like like for instance if the word ha was a bad word you could put h a and people know what you mean Coolin April 13th, 2001, 23:05 Censorship stills block some people who don't use bypass methods. We should do all we can to block as much as possible. Some is better than none. Gayowulf April 14th, 2001, 22:55 I dont think you need to use the whole word. people will usually guess what you are trying to say. sometimes you dont need any words. sometimes just the tone of your reply will carry a bit of fu¤k you in it. Omari May 2nd, 2001, 08:52 let's see, easily offended people don't read because you might drop dead: the f word seems to be the only banned word... | ||||
