I've been to that video game store.
I made a point of it the last time I past through that town. The Gord wasn't present, though :(

Yeah, I got a buddy who lives in the same town as The Gord's store. Last time I was there, I told him about it, and we went down there to pay tribute to our saviour...but alas, he was not there.

similar situation here.
we had driven through the town, Pentiction, to be exact, and were about 5 or 10 minutes beyond the town center. We noticed that there were very many people floating on tubes down a channel beside the highway.
it was at least 30C, and in a vehicle without air conditioning and with very poor ventialtion a cold river looks very inviting.
especially when there are a mind boggling number of attractive females on it's surface.
that was the deciding factor. we pulled a U turn and went to a tire place and tried to get ourselves one of those big inner tubes. The guy wouldn't give us one. we told him he could have our car till we brought it back. he still said no; I don't think he trusted us.
We finally found 2 big huge ones at a second hand store/pawn shop. we took them back to the tire place so we could inflate them, but the guy wouldnt because we didnt purchase them there. so we filled them up at a gas station.
so to make a long story short we tubed down this river, got sunburned, and i swear i got 3rd degree burns from jumping on the tube which had been in the sun all day.
we had to hitch-hike back to town because in the heat of the moment we had forgotted that without a car we had no way other than our own 2 feet to make the 6km trek back to town.
but to tie the gord in with all of this, the person we caught a ride with worked at the store so thats where he dropped us off. then it dawned on me that this was The Gord's domain. I had the urge to steal something and run away. but the gord wasnt there.
heh. that was a bit of an epic.
