It is said that there are enough nuclear weapons on this earth to kill every person 10 times. So if the world went to war again, do you think it will be the end of the world -- will the human race destroy itself? Just interested in what you think about this. :)

Unfortunately, it is in the human nature to destroy ourselves. I am sure it will happen eventually, hopefully not anytime soon.

What does the bible say about all of this? I've heard a few rumors about it telling about this (Iraq) war etc...

I was listening to some bible prophecy lady on the radio, she said that after this (Iraq) war, that China and Russia are going to invade the US, Russia from the North and China from the South. Sounds like a pile off bull ---- to me, but I thought it was pretty interesting.

Anyway, back on topic. Yep, I think we'll destroy ourselves one day, we probably have done it in the past, our history wiped out or something...

One thing I am always concerned about in wars like this Iraq war is spreading us to thin in our home land. Sending hundreds of thousands of troops over seas definately weakens us here somewhat. On a good thought, I think 80% of the country here has some kind of firearm in their house so any invasions would have its work cut out, another reason I strongly believe in the right to bear arms ;)

I think we are originally from Mars and destroyed ourselves but a few managed come to Earth in a space ship to start over again.

I'm not a religious nut, but I study the prophecies in the Bible. I don't know where this lady got her info, but it isn't from the Bible. Well it could be since it could be seen that the United States is the actual new Israel. You have at least 30 years before anything close to Revelation happens. You first have to realize that Babylon (south of Baghdad) has to be rebuilt. Of course, if Baghdad sees a huge growth and becomes a world port, it could grow over the area of Babylon, and by Biblical terms still be called by the same name. Don't believe any dooms-dayers who say the end is near. There are still too many religious nuts out there for many things to happen....such as Antichrist, Mark of the Beast, etc, etc. Even people who have never been to church know about those, and would rebel as soon as someone tried to force such a thing on them. Even if I didn't know the Bible, there's no way I would let the government invade my privacy and "force" me to have a computer chip in my wrist or forehead..

It's all going to happen after the Bible has lost popularity, and after Christianity starts to fail. I'm sure everyone here will have died of old age before this comes about.

I truely believe that we will become very very advanced 'race' and that will be our downfall. We will create some weapon or anti-weapon so powerful we're unable to control it. Something like a AI army or energy weapon.

I think i've been watching a bit too much Stargate but I do honestly believe that will be our fate. Hopefully something good and not evil will come out of it. :)

We do have some very 'powerful' weapons now but nothing massively powerful. There are ways around ALL of them. Even nukes and some of the most deadly bioweaponry and even the bio weaponry the russians created during the bio/chemical treaty designed to be "deployed" after sending a few nukes there.
