does anybody know how much invisionfree charge to transfer your forum elsewhere?

To be sure, check out the invision free faq, they got details, there's different cost for moving.

If I'm correct.. the ACP has a feature that dumps ur MySQL database into a .sql file that is tarred and gunzipped and u download it.. then upload it later using PHPmyAdmin or something

Actually, no, they don't. It's modified Invision board. So you'll have to pay different fees for moving.

I guess you should tell your members about the new location, that's how InvisionFree works. I've never been convinced about them.
