Does anyone know where I can get a good, easy-to-use, free FTP program. I've been using cuteFTP, but it expired and I don't really want to pay for it.
And if there isn't a freeware program like cuteFTP, is it worth it to buy it?
Please help
Thanks

WS_FTP (http://www.ipswitch.com/downloads/index.html), WS_FTP_LE (ftp://ftp.ipswitch.com/ipswitch/product_downloads/ws_ftple.exe)
LinasFTP (http://www.linas.info/)
FTP Commander (http://www.internet-soft.com/DEMO/ftpcommander.exe) -- another Pro version is not free.
HS FTPExplorer (http://www.softnews.ro/public/cat/10/2/10-2-17.shtml)
FileZilla (http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/filezilla/FileZilla_2_1_4b_setup.exe?download)
UnlimitedFTP (it's free, but I don't know about it)
SecureFTP
AstroFTP
FTP Explorer (ftp://ftp.ftpx.com/pub/ftpx/ftpx.zip) -- http://www.ftpx.com
(add)
Pablo's FTP Explorer (http://www.pablovandermeer.nl/ftpexplorer.zip)
ftpNetDrive (http://www.knoware.com/) -- (but I didn't download it successfully)
FlashSF (http://flashfxp.ws/zip/freeware/flashsfv2.0f.zip) FlashFXP's freeware ver.
32bit FTP (http://www.electrasoft.com/32ftp.zip) -- it's not free, but it has a function : change all files' name to lower case.
WS_FTP, FTP Explorer, FileZilla are easy & famous.
if you don't like them, you may try searching in Google (http://www.google.com/search?q=free+ftp+software&ie=ISO&hl=zh-TW&lr=) , you will get more info.
p.s. or try to uninstall & re-install it, does it work?
[ I edited that add url & more ]

uninstall en re-install doesn't work because the program expired and it 'installed' some kinda thing onyour computer that counts the days you where using it etc. The only way to escape from this is to set your date from the computer waaaaaay back, or to 'search through the internet' a bit more ;)

Yes, I have found that "searching" a bit more really helps. I personally use WS_FTP. Easy to use, but plain, no frills GUI.

I would recommend WS_FTP
easier then Smart FTP (you have to figure out the right click "upload" "direct upload" thingie) when uploading and SmartFTP only could freez up my computer when trying to upload a file that is allready online that needs to be replaced ugh.

If you are using certain versions of windows you already have one. Try putting FTP data into the address bar on one of your computers folders.

WS_FTP is by far the best free FTP program out there.

I know this is unrelated, but I gotta say this:

Not true at all. Just as an example, Nero Burning ROM doesnt even have to be un-installed. You just re-install (re-run the setup proggram) and your demo is renewed.

Yes it is true, I had it and after 30 days, and couldnt install is anymore. Also I couldnt instal it after I re downloaded it either.
SmartFTP is the best though.

I prefer SmartFTP on Windows computers, and I generally use cPanel's upload tool for Linux, but if you don't have a cPanel server, nor SSH access (scp rules) then...sucks to be you, because I can't think of any.
But I suppose you're on Windows, so like I said, SmartFTP :classic2:
