Hi,

I have a very small personal website. I expect less than 100MB hits per month. I am currently located in US, and expect almost all hits to be within the US.

Required features:
- +15 MB web space
- Run ASP code and allows to write/read files
- 24x7 FTP access
- No file size and type restriction (Currently the largest file is 1.7MB)
- No advertisement or any extra Javascript popup window of any sort

Optional features:
- Web Statistics
- Flash files (e.g. *.swf)
- Custom 404 errors

I have search all days long, and you guys are probably my last hope. Because my website is actually only 10MB, but I expect it to grow up to 15 MB maximum by the end of this year.

Sincerely,

Thomas

Can you inform us of your budget so we know if we should post or not. =)

Crazy Technology runs ASP for Perl Module, would that work for you? Everything else we offer, and can give you a very low price.

Because my website is so small, I don't expect to spend more than $5 a month. The purpose of this website is just to help me find a job by showing some of my accomplishments. The website by itself is mainly written in XHTML and JavaScript.

The reason why I need ASP is because I wrote my own search engine and my own (but very basic) message board.

The best analogy I can think of is offering an English dictionary and saying you can use it to spell check French because it has words like "déja vu" and "haute cuisine" in it.
The only way ASP will work on Linux is Sun's ASP or another one I can't recall right now. But given the price it's probably cheaper for the host to get a license for Windows 2000/2003 Server.

Do you need domain hosting? Otherwise Brinkster (http://www.brinkster.com) might suffice for you. I'm not all sure about max file sizes though.

The two ones I was about to buy had terrible reviews, in particular the hostdepartment one.

After doing a huge search all around, I am down to the following sites:

http://endore.com/hosting-iis.htm
http://www.stpwebhosting.com/webhosting.htm
http://www.dsensehosting.net/hostingplans-windows.php
http://www.itplushost.com/hostingpackages.asp
http://www.savinghosting.com/?hop=whratings.savinghost

Any recommendation?

I went with http://www.savinghosting.com.
So far they are pretty good and cheap.

All the others one have various issues (e.g. they required a domain name).
