Right now I am starting my network of Anime sites (anyone interseted? ^_^) and I am currently going through the option of running SkyScraper ads. I am curious on if anyone knows any company that does currently support this option and what is the exact banner size for it? Currently IAP has 240x400 but i see a lot of sites not running under that.

Thanks

Ed

Welcome to the forum and BB, Ed :)

Advertising.com recently announced their support for two skyscraper sizes - 600x120 and 600x150. They apparently have inventory ready to fill these spots now, but I'm not sure whether your returns will be based on clicks or impressions at this stage.

Anyway, check them out. They seem to be accepting a few new properties into their network at present.

Hey! my site is also about anime (image galleries)

and it's going down! yeah!!!

I would run any CPM banner that can help this site up!

coz my major visitors are art viewer, and they usually don't dare to touch or even click the painting (I mean the banner)

heh,

Hey thanks for the info,

I am currently looking into big CPM rates for the sky scrapers as I will look into that site right now. I hear that these skyscrapers can pull off nice cpm's over $1 (which is needed for my network if all deals pull off will get over 20 Million Hits a month). If anyone else is interested in joining please ask me.

This brings up the issue of the current ad market as well, as everyone knows many sites are dying off due to lack of support, i believe it is best if many sites gather under one loving network which i wish to try.

So anywho, im surprised so many sites are not running under the official IAB ad banner sizes which are 240 x 400 :)

P.S. No im not advertising, i am showing concern ^_^

what?

hi OtakuHero,
what's your site url???

my site is squaregallery.com and it is dying now
I don't think we can get a high CPM banner though..
maybe we need to find a Japanese ad networks, since anime belongs to japanese, though my visitors mainly from US...

that's why my site is dying..

Well i guess ill sound like a retard saying this, but the site will be up SOON and if i release the names of the people who are currently intersted with me they might be kind of mad, so I'll release the info to you guys first when the sites agree with my network.

But anyways, if your interested in the network please e-mail me privately at otaku@aoforge.com since we dont want to spam the forums. Ill tell you the goals, server status, and etc. etc.

Anyways, can anyone find any more sites? Super Moo?

I've been very happy with the Advertising.com skyscrapers - they have plenty of inventory in both their skyscraper sizes, and I actually don't mind the sight of those skyscrapers on some sites :)

Have a great day,

Mike

Engage recently announced their willingness to support IAB's new sizes, and are presently asking their members for expressions of interest in order to gauge how much inventory they will have on hand once the new creatives roll out.

Their URL is Engage.com, but I believe that this offer only extends to their existing members, since they are not accepting new publisher accounts at present (except in rare circumstances).

Czar, has mentioned all the one's I'd probaly put first.

Although, I doubt all your skyscraper ads will be sold through these companies as it's a new standard.

I'd reccomend you link your default campaign on the skyscrapers to Standard Internet's ClickThruTraffic (http://www.clickthrutraffic.com) program. (They allow you to create your own images to link and can return a nice income.)

Also one final note, I've noticed Commission Junction (http://www.cj.com) have a few skyscrapers available although I do not think that they are the standard sizes (120x400 i think). Although, yet again if you used the default campaign with IFRAME serving you could create your own ad (seperate page) with a cj skyscraper and fill the bottom space with a ClickThruTraffic ad.

I hope you can follow all that because I'm not too good at explaining! :)

Best of luck,
