I'm behind proxy now, and could not access my own website using FTP. Is there any web-based service where I could access files in my websites as if I'm using FTP?
Add:
For example if my current webiste is on F2S.
Thanks for the responses.

http://www.redrival.com used to offer free web-FTP. Now that they're experiencing some financial problems, they're probably gonna make that a pay-service like the FTP. Or maybe it already is.

I used to have that problem too when I was behind a firewall. I looked all over the net for a web-based FTP service but I eventually gave up, because I couldn't find anything that I could use as reliably as a normal ftp client.
This may not be a "free" solution, but it's well worth a try. The only FTP client that will work with proxy servers is called Terrapin FTP Browser. It costs $35 per license but you kind trial it for 30 days for free.
The website is http://www.tpin.com
I don't have anything to do with this company. I'm just a satisfied customer.
Hope this helps.

koen, lyew has a point. If you set your current FTP client to do PASV transfers instead of active ones, it is possible that you can still upload/download without having to resort to all these third party sites. After all, passive transfers are how browsers handle those ftp://whatever... URLs. (BTW most FTP clients can do passive transfers - eg WS_FTP, CuteFTP, etc, so you probably don't need to get a new one.) (Anyway, no harm trying it out...)

it's a simple php-based ftp script i wrote for myself, but it turned out it would be handy for other people.

Hi Koen,
I have found one of your questions on the web, I just happen to have the answer to your question:
I'm behind proxy now, and could not access my own website using FTP. Is there any web-based service where I could access files in my websites as if I'm using FTP?
Add:

Thanks for the responses.
Here is a site that will do exactly that:
