lately, i can't get icq to work no matter what i do, i had 2001b, it and usualy had no problems till now, now it always creates an illegal program error, so i download 2002a and install it, now that one gives me a runtime error grrr, i don't want to download 2003 because i've heard its the worst built yet, any one else have this problem and was able to solve it? if so, how? thanks

If you want to use ICQ, use 98a.

Hmm...in My Documents isn't there a folder for ICQ?
The database is in the ICQ folder. When you uninstall ICQ the database usually stays put. But whether or not it is compatible with the old version, I can't tell you.
