phFora (http://phfora.vonetwork.net) is proud to announce it's opening, offering FREE remotely hosted phpBB bulletin boards with NO ADVERTISMENTS (only 2 text links back to myself, which don't really count IMO ;))
Currently we're in the testing stage, and the best way to test is to have some users to test with :classic2:
If you're interested in testing out the service while we make minor tweaks, etc (adding hacks, new skins) please visit this page (http://phfora.vonetwork.net/services.html) and mention that you came from FWS for testing :classic2:
Feature List (http://phfora.vonetwork.net/index.html#features) (The only thing changed right now from the original phpBB installation is overall_header.tpl [to include textlink], overall_footer.tpl [to inclue textlink] and PMs disabled on hosted boards).
Thanks for your interest. FYI, we're planning a paid version that should be out in a few weeks, that's when I'm planning on putting up some regular advertisments...smallish banners, buttons...so my advice is get the forum while there's no ads, build up a community and your member's won't care about the ads as much as if they had started with them :classic2:
