View Full Version : Need A Cheap Host

I am looking for hosting less than $10. I am currently with Calipsys, but they get a lot of server problem.

This is what I need:
Minimum of 50MB
CGI-Bin
FTP
Most importantly..a fast server.

I am thinking about below10host.com. Any feedback on the service? What else do you recommend?

I was with below10host for a few months, they were good. I also see a lot of people recommending venturesonline.com

Glade, I am currently looking at http://www.servus.ws and http://www.aletiahosting.com both of which fit your requirements. Aletia has more stuff but servus has better support and they are often on the boards. The main problem with servus is that they allow adult hosting which I havce heard can have an adverse effect on a server and they charge extra for cron and SSH.

I left for http://www.hostgo.com. They allowed me to put five different domains (you have to email them on this - not posted on their site)into one account. I paid alittle bit more than the one account but it is alot cheeper than buying 5 accounts.

So... Below10host is my choice for a single domain and if you want multiple domains (up to 5 on a account) I'd go to hostgo.com

first we were with dialtone internet, which we hated, so we moved to skynetweb. they have been great.

Below10host has new special plans... I am currently signed up with them and they are by far the most reliable host I have seened.

theyre at vdi now, you may wanna wait till the 24th to sign up...vdi has had a lot of downtime and their pipes are full, the 24th they are adding a 155mbit connection.

Strange... my FTP account has never been down yet... and there service is fast... but what do I know? I am using a DSL Connection.

your site may be in the alabanza or dialtone noc, i know they've used them before, but their main site it at vdi.

It seems to me that their accounts with the subdomains are with VDI and the others are Albanza.

For what its worth....I'm now back opening up a small account (will be VDI server) with them. This will be a new site. Hostgo is still great for a multi-domain account.
