I have always been satisfied with Excelland but now they want $100,000 to start their systems up again. Does anyone know a better host? And/Or a host that lets you start your own web community for free? Let me know.

CommunityArchitech demands that you have at least 15000 visitors per month.. i fell 200 short on my site and was denied :( So, many of the people leaving Excelland will have trouble signing up unless they actually do get that many unique visitors per day.

15,000 A Month? Christ... I only have 60 A day, and the average of 1800 Monthly... I would never qualify...

Is megagiga.com(wigloo.com) for real? They are offering a free domain to everybody. Do they have lots of money or what?

Just wanted to let you guys know that Community Architect has become less stringent lately. They are again offering their free solution and the traffic limitations have been lifted. I think they're a great service.

According to their site, MegaGiga (Wigloo) offers you a free domain (.com, .net, etc.), but they will own it (ala NameZero) and they don't give a lot of details on how to get it.
