first domain

i am gunna be purchasing my first own domain on tuesday i just want to know whats the best place to go with i dont really know any except 000domains.com.

whats the post popular?
whats the cheapest?
whats the best?
does it make any difference are they alll the some or do they offer different things?
...as u can tell i dont know much, any info appreciated

1. NameCheap (http://namecheap.com) and GoDaddy (http://godaddy.com)

3. That's a matter of opinion :classic2: Some people prefer NameCheap over GoDaddy for the excellent support.
4. Yes, it makes a difference. Some of them only offer domain names, others - like NameCheap - throw in free extras like URL forwarding, e-mails, etc. Then of course there's the price factor. Ultimatly, you're paying for the same thing.
