I just got this lovley e-mail;

From: questions@standardinternet.com
Subject: Changes to SearchTraffic Program (Pay Rate Increase!)
Date sent: Tue, 17 Apr 2001 14:03:53 -0500

Dear Affiliates,

We have some exciting changes to announce in the SearchTraffic program:

-Effective 4/18/01 the pay rate for each search will INCREASE to $0.06 (six cents).

-Effective 4/18/01 we will be REMOVING ALL ADS from the search results page.

-Effective asap we will be offering CUSTOMIZED SEARCH RESULTS PAGES to all affiliates.

The customized search results pages will allow you to make the search results match the "look and
feel" of your individual website. This change should be implemented within 2 to 3 weeks.
The pay rate increase and the removal of ads from the results page will be effective immediately.
These changes are a direct result of the feedback received from our affiliates.

SearchTraffic.com, the original independent search affiliate program, has over 9,000 affiliates
displaying it's search boxes on over 25,000 different websites.

Please email admin@searchtraffic.com if you have any questions.

Sincerely,
The SearchTraffic Staff

Isn't it awesome? The SI crew come through for us once again, with innovation and industry-leading pay rates.

Also, as Geek/Talkers and SICtalkers would be well aware, SI are also BETA testing their newest program at present, which is sure to provide publishers with yet another reliable revenue stream.

Yes, I'm a bit annoyed at their company for leaving this forum in the dark. :(

Without trying to increase the tension, they probably made the conscious decision not to post here due to the amount of flak that they have received from many of this forum's regulars.

In any case, Robert has stated that the BETA test will only run for a few weeks, so the program will go public very shortly allowing those who missed the BETA cutoff to enjoy what is shaping up to be a very strong system.

I suppose, damn... I liked having Robert here! Now I've got to chase him all over the web! ;)

What's the SI BETA program all about? I sent an e-mail to Robert but for some reason it didn't go through.

Their mail servers were messed up before. Email tlbeta@standardinternet.com.
