Need a script (whatever language)

Dear,

We need someone help us to code a simple failsafe over script which will run at our Primary DNS server to check whether our main server is online, if main server down, the script will update Primary DNS domain database with our backup server IP, and will continue monitor the main server status, if main server backup and online again, the script will then restore DNS database with it original stage.

Will pay or exchange with hosting, depends on the prices.
