I think this guy should be banned just for having the stupidity to post a Child Porn site.

Geez, the title of this thread sounds like it's promoting a child pornography site.

Oh, uh, I was just about to visit the General forums. I usually look there first. Today's an exception.

Hey guys. I'm sorry. Of course I shouldn't have posted the actual link to the site. That was very stupid. My sincere apologizes the moderators too.
I haven't seen pictures like that before. Just the censured ones on TV News and they are bad enough. When I saw infants at that site I just freaked out and wanted to get the bastards. In fact, I still feel pretty freaked out.
Anyway, sorry. I didn't think.

Thanks Giancarlo. Can FBI do anything outside US? Is there an international collaboration about this? I'm in Europe myself. The Red Cross have a report number. I feel they might be a little too polite though.
Stupid thought - what would happen if a site like that got a high number of requests at the same time? Like 100 guys pinging them like hell. Would that hurt them? :D

Meow, just a tip, don't try to take them offline with a denial of service attack. If anything you'll hurt the service provider more then the client. Have the service provider remove the offensive material and if they are in the US report them to the proper authorities and they will act on it. Now if the service provider refuses to remove the material and is in the US the authorities will deal with them.
I hesitate to even post this URL but think you should know of them as well: http://www.ehap.org
C|Net had a few articles about them if memory serves me correctly. That was probably a year ago though so I'm not sure what they are up to now a days.
Good luck with taking them down!

Todd,
No, I wouldn't know how to.
The problem is it's an Slovakian host and we can't find anyone that can read the TOS at the host's site. If Giancarlo is right, the host probably don't give a damn' anyway. To be honest I wouldn't mind harming such a host, illegal or not. The problem is, I guess, that these sites just move to a new place. This one was at yahoo for a while..
I've reported them at the site you mentioned.
Giancarlo,
I couldn't find a way to report it at the FBI site. Would you mind helping out if you have done this before? Could you find the exact page with the report form or whatever?

Success! Don't think it has to do with our actions, a little too soon for that, but the site seems to be gone or not accessible anyway.
:):p:):p:):p:):p:)
I'll keep checking for a while if they come back. Sheesh...I have a favorites folder named Child Porn now...

Actually calling your local FBI office will get results. I've only contacted the FBI on one past occasion and they were interested in it as it dealt with a person doing heavy credit card fraud. He tried over $15,000 in fake orders with over 40 different credit cards. I'm guessing he stole their info from another sites database because he had ALL relevant information for the credit card and the person listed on the card. Anyway, in my case it was also an over seas suspect so they couldn't do much in terms of prosecution. (The complaint was forwarded to the US Embassy in the suspects local country as they were more equipped to deal with the language difference + would know the local laws better.)
Good job on taking down that site. The sad thing is unless you can prosecute the individual then they will most likely upload the site to another ISP and repeat the process.

Yeah.. and kind of scary.. I wouln't bother with a denial of service attack but if you can somehow figure out their FTP password you can eaisly delete the whole sick site.

Why does that upset you? I intend to check if that site goes up at the same URL again. I also intend to keep the URL's to sites that can deal with that sort of thing that I have collected. I don't let things pass without caring in real life. Why would I on the Internet? Those kids weren't binary.

I think he was referring to the folder name.. Rather then call it Child Porn how about you rename it to Stop Child Porn so it doesn't reflect badly upon yourself.
I appreciate your actions in trying to stop that sicko (as I'm sure we all do) but this thread has run its course so I'm going to lock it. It isn't very relevant here but I felt it was important for you to get that site shut down so that is why I didn't lock the thread earlier.
